Flock to the Blue Goose for Parrotheads' fundraiser show

The Parrotheads, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, will perform in a benefit concert, “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere,” from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. Doors open at 6 p.m. The fundraiser will support Soroptimist International of Loomis Basin projects including the Loomis Senior LIFE Center, Loomis Women’s Shelter, Kids First, student awards, teacher grants and other charitable activities. The event is an opportunity to escape for an evening in paradise, dancing to party music, hanging out with friends, sipping margaritas, munching on nachos, and snacking on chicken and beef sliders while supporting community organizations. Tickets are $25 in advance and available at Blue Goose Produce, the Loomis Chamber of Commerce and Rejuvenate Day Spa in Loomis as well as by calling 916-303-6837, or at the door for $30.
