Documentary of 442nd Regimental Combat Team screens June 24

“Valor with Honor” will be screened at 4 and 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at the State Theatre in Auburn. The documentary film is based on over 35 interviews of veterans of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team who served during World War II. Proceeds will support completion of a bronze monument at the Placer County Memorial in Roseville dedicated to 442nd servicemen, Americans of Japanese ancestry who became the most decorated unit of its size in U.S. military history. The showing is presented by Japanese American Citizens League chapters of Placer, Sacramento and Florin counties. Tickets for the movie are $45 each or two for $80. Seating is limited.
