The Del Oro boys wrestling team made it two straight wins in Sierra Foothill League dual action with a 53-16 triumph over Nevada Union last Wednesday. The Eagles hammered the Miners from start to finish as they scored 47 points to start the dual match. Nevada Union then scored the next 16 before Patrick Neu (152) capped off the night with a first-round pin over Mac Edwards. The bout of the night was between Del Oro freshman Jansen Englebrect (113) and junior Sawyer Mosel, who led 4-0 before Englebrect scored a reverse in the second to tie. He went on to grab a 6-4 lead before the two tied at 8-all and force overtime. Englebrect scored on a double-leg takedown to win the bout. After a longer than usual football season, Tanner Woods (220) made his first appearance of the dual match season with a 14-1 major decision over Taylor Hart. The junior varsity team shut out Nevada Union, which was limited to just five wrestlers, with a score of 76-0. ~ Staff report
