Water polo camp Del Oro Youth Summer Water Polo Camp runs weekly through July 18, open to players in grades 8 to 12, includes water polo fundamentals such as passing, shooting and ball handling. Campers need to bring tennis shoes for dry land training. The cost is $150. Boys basketball camps Del Oro High?s boys basketball program will hold summer basketball camp. Individual Offense camp will be held June 25 to 28 and is split into two sessions. Session one is for players entering grades 7 to 9 and runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Session two is for players in grades 10 to12 and will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $75. Attendees will learn fundamental skills from basic to intermediate levels. Camp for players in grades three to seven will be 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Camp for players in grades eight to ten will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Camp director is Del Oro head coach Mike Takayama. He will be assisted by JV coach Clint Donaghue, freshman coach Greg Brening and assistants Shawn Huckaby and Emilie Johnson. The cost is $75. Family discounts are available. Registration forms are available on the Del Oro website. Registration will also be accepted from 8 to 8:30 a.m. for session one on June 25; and 12:30 to 1 p.m. for session two on the same day. Football training and conditioning The Del Oro football program offers its annual Advanced Performance Training and Conditioning. The sessions will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. for 10th- to 12th-grade athletes; and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., daily for 7th- to 9th-grade athletes. Session one is June 25 to 29 and July 2 to 3; Session two is July 9 to 12; Session three is July 16 to 19. The cost is $75 per session or $150 for all three. Training includes personal instruction in advanced performance training from the Del Oro strength and conditioning staff and focuses on stretching, weightlifting, plyometrics, speed, agility, quickness, core strength and conditioning.
