Last Sunday, more than 2,000 children and parents made their way to Sierra College for a day filled with learning and laughter.

The college hosted its biennial Dinosaur Days Science Festival to raise money for the Natural History Museum and provide fun and educational activities for families. Those who came enjoyed live animal shows, stargazing in Sierra's planetarium, watermelon explosions, fun physics and chemistry presentations, face paint, “Dino slime,” GPS treasure hunts and many other activities.

Sierra College's Natural History Museum is open throughout the year from 8 a.m. to 8p.m. while classes are in session, and occasionally on weekends. Planetarium shows and guided tours are available by appointment. To learn more, visit
