Dinner to benefit fire-damaged Glen Edwards School

Enjoy a Mexican dinner and provide support to Glen Edwards School in Lincoln, which was damaged during a recent fire. Doors open at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at the Lincoln Veterans Hall, 541 Fifth Street, in Lincoln. Tickets are $18 each for the dinner of carnitas or chicken fajitas. Each dinner ticket will also be entered in a raffle prize. The evening will include live Mexican music as well as a DJ playing contemporary music. Catering the fundraiser will be Javier Sandoval of Mi Ranchito Taqueria in Loomis. Sandoval’s 13-year-old daughter, Marisa, and sixth-grade son, Javier, 11, attend Glen Edwards. Marisa’s eighth-grade leadership program suffered major loss in the fire.
