Del Oro trio named to all-SFL

Cargile, McCavitt, Freeman earn soccer honors

Del Oro’s Lady Eagles placed three players on the 2009 all-Sierra Foothill League All-League soccer team that was selected by a vote of the league’s coaches. Named from Del Oro were senior Shelby Cargile and sophomores Casey McCavitt and Emma Freeman. Cargile was a defender while McCavitt played in the midfield and Freeman at the forward spot. Named as the league’s co-Most Valuable Players were Sarah Kendall of Granite Bay and Megan Looper of Roseville.
