Junior Savannah Pingreee tossed a no-hitter Wednesday and freshman Hannah George knocked in three runs as the Del Oro High softball team clinched at least a share of the Sierra Foothill League championship. The Golden Eagles (19-6 overall, 9-2 SFL) will wrap up SFL play Friday at home against Granite Bay with a chance to claim the title outright. Pingree walked four and struck out seven in seven innings Wednesday. She also doubled to spark the Eagles’ offense. Aspen Echelmeier was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Del Oro, which last won a league banner in 2002.
