Trailhead Coffee & Cycling Lounge, located on Taylor Road in Penryn, will present ?Bike for Bliss? to benefit A Chance for Bliss Animal Sanctuary Saturday, Jan. 15. Rides begin at 10 a.m. for the two routes: a 3.1-mile fun ride and a 30-mile personal best ride. Registration fees are $15 for ages 6 to 16 and $25 for ages 17 and up. To register, call 663-9121. Late registration opens at 9 a.m. Saturday. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Five Cities Democratic Club will meet from 11: 15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Loomis Round Table Pizza in the Raley?s Shopping Center. The meeting is open to newcomers as well. Free lacrosse clinics, for boys in grades five through 12, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the LDS Recreation Park, 3211 Boulder Creek Place, in Penryn, at the I-80 exit. There will be skills demonstrations for new players and pre-season conditioning for returning players, followed by a fun, non-contact scrimmage. Del Oro?s 10th Annual Crab Feed, to benefit the band program, was originally set to take place Saturday, Jan. 15, at Veterans Memorial Hall. Due to a scheduling conflict at Memorial Hall, the venue has been changed to the Placer County Association of Realtors building, located at 4750 Grove St. in Rocklin. Doors open at 6 p.m.; dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 each, and the menu will include all-you-can eat crab, shrimp, chowder, bread and salad. Raffle baskets and silent auction items will be up for bid. A no-host bar will be open. Tickets are available at Main Drug Store. The first annual Blue Goose Business Expo Fundraiser will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, in the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. There will be vendors, music, food and door prizes. The Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce will hold its installation and community awards dinner Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. Gary Noy, a Loomis author and editor, will present his book, ?The Illuminated Landscape: A Sierra Nevada Anthology,? at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Auburn Library, 350 Nevada St., in Auburn.
