A Fall Book Fair continues from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 5, at Franklin Elementary School. Local artists will be showcased during the Gallery for Hope from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at the Flower Farm, 4150 Auburn-Folsom Road. The event will include music, drinks, and testimonies from moms from Acres of Hope, a long-term renewal program in Applegate for at-risk and/or homeless mothers with young children. Drop off food donations from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, at 3265 Swetzer Road. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 31. Golden Eagle Baseball 2011 will hold walk-in registration from 6 to 8 p.m. at Loomis Pizza Factory on Tuesday, Nov. 9; Wednesday, Nov. 17; and Thursday, Dec. 9. Tickets for Friday and Saturday evening’s poetry and music are $35 general admission or $45 for preferred seating. Saturday matinee tickets are $15 each. The free service is in conjunction with Greenspot Dropoff, which will recycle the e-waste. Loomis Self Storage is open for recycling from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
