A Jimmy Buffet tribute concert, “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere,” featuring Garratt Wilkin and The Parrotheads,” takes place Friday, Aug. 13, at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the concert is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door. Proceeds will support Soroptimist International of Loomis Basin projects. The Loomis Farmers’ Market is open from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed. Those who have farm or homegrown fruits, vegetables, nuts, value-added products or handcrafted items can get information about a free vendor booth from Mark at Blue Goose Produce. Call 652-8341. Don’s Classic Car Show will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Loomis Depot. Admission is free. The show includes music and raffle prizes. Dispose of old computers, printers, televisions and other electronic equipment for free at Loomis Self Storage, 5950 Jetton Lane (off Swetzer). The free service is in conjunction with Greenspot Dropoff, which will recycle the e-waste. Loomis Self Storage is open for recycling from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Free CPR classes are offered to residents of the Loomis Fire Protection District on Saturdays at the Loomis fire station on Horseshoe Bar Road. Reserved seating for Del Oro High School 2010 home football games is being offered to benefit the football program. Packages are $150 for the Golden Eagle Pass, which includes free reserved parking, and $100 for the Eagle Pass. A season ticket pass for all Del Oro athletic sports home games can be added for $50. Applications are due Sept. 3 and are available at the Del Oro front office. The Friends of the Penryn Library have eco-friendly totes available.
