Christmas craft fair at Blue Goose The second annual Christmas Craft Boutique and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Blue Goose. Several vendors will offer home décor, gifts, jewelry, candles, pet “goodies,” gifts for kids, and Del Oro items. The sale goes on, rain or shine. Motorcyclists rider for teen recovery Jimboys Tacos and Motorcycles of Citrus Heights will present the “Last Ride of the Season” beginning with check-in at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. A $25 donation includes coffee, pastries and lunch; proceeds benefit the Full Circle Treatment Center in Roseville. There will be entertainment and raffle prizes after the ride, which run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In case of rain, the ride will be canceled. Full Circle offers intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment services for teens and their families. Pose with your own pet or with the sanctuary’s horse, donkey, goat or chicken. Photos will be available while you wait; suggested donation is $15 for an 8x10 or $10 for a 4x6 photo. Millie Beatie to hold pottery studio show Visit Millie Beatie’s studio from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13 and 14, during a Holiday Pottery Studio Show in her studio, located at 6410 Arcadia Avenue. For more information, call 652-8052. High Hand site of holiday events on Saturday and Sunday Two holiday events are planned this weekend at High Hand Nursery, located at 3750 Taylor Road. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 and 14, "Celebrate Traditions of Christmas" will benefit the sacramento Children's Home & Crisis Nursery and the Placer Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. At the same time, regional artists will hold the grand opening of the High Hand Gallery, an artists' cooperative. Little League registration now open Loomis, Penryn, Ophir, and Newcastle students, ages 5 to 12, can register from now until Jan. 1 to play in the Newcastle Little League. Tryouts begin Feb. 7; opening day is April 4. Forms are available at Penryn, Ophir and Newcastle Elementary Schools, or call 492-6254. There are also openings for a treasurer, secretary, player agent and safety officer on the club’s board. Loomis Basin Christmas Basket Program donations needed Donations are needed for the Loomis Basin Christmas Basket Program, which provides toys, books, stuffed animals and personal hygiene items such as shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes to more than 400 children up to the ages of 18 years old. The program benefits children in the Loomis, Rocklin, Penryn, Newcastle and Ophir areas. Donations can be dropped off by Friday, Dec. 19, at either the Loomis Fire Station on Horseshoe Bar Road, or at Gary Doupnik Manufacturing, located at 3237 Rippey Road in Loomis.
