Black and Gold Golf Tourney Set

The 17th annual Del Oro Black and Golf Scholarship Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, June 15th at Turkey Creek Golf Club, in Lincoln. The tournament is played annually to help raise scholarship funds for the Paul?s Place Association Scholarships and the Duane Perkins Memorial Scholarship. The Paul?s Place Association awards four scholarships each year for the amount of $1,500. Three scholarships are presented in memory of founder Paul Yokote and one is in memory of Bob Bonner. The scholarships are awarded to college-bound Del Oro seniors who excel in academics, school involvement and community service. The Perkins Memorial Scholarship was created to recognize deserving student-athletes. Recipients of this scholarship are athletes who represent Del Oro while overcoming adversity in their own lives. Over the past several years more than $15,000 has been awarded to outstanding Del Oro seniors. The tournament will be played under a four-player scramble format with a shotgun start set for 1:30 p.m. Several tournament packages are available including the Black and Gold Package ($110) and the Golden Eagle Package ($130). Tournament sponsorships are also available ranging in price from $250 to $2,500. The tournament entry fee includes golf, golf cart, range balls and buffet dinner. Several side games, including long drive, closest-to-the-hole, raffle tickets, mulligan packages and $500 designated hole-in-one prizes will be available.
