H. Clarke Powers Elementary School fourth-graders in Pam White’s class had fun with food when they recently let their imaginations soar as they participated in an agro art class conducted by Tracy Chimenti and Karen Fitzgerald Chimenti, of Penryn. The Chimentis own 250 fruit trees at their Palmcrest Mandarins orchard. “Agro art is art made with agricultural products,” said Tracy Chimenti. The couple said the ag products used by the students were harvested from the school garden and were donated by local businesses.
