Three Loomis residents are still in jail after being arrested over the weekend for several Loomis residential and vehicle burglaries. Placer County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jacob Ronald Delaney, 20, Phillip Wesley Hodge, 23, and Kevin Dean Johnson, 56. According to Dena Erwin, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, the men allegedly entered unlocked cars, garages and homes. Delaney was booked on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and needles. Hodge was charged with possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and a parole violation. Johnson was booked on a charge of theft of a firearm, Erwin said. Erwin said Detective Ryan West is looking for the owners of power tools and a camera that could have been taken from garages and vehicles. The thefts would have occurred in the last two weeks. Residents can reach West at (916) 652-2423. The Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to keep their property behind locked doors, Erwin said. “Unlocked garages and vehicles are easy targets for criminals, and people are urged to keep their belongings secure,” she said. All three men are currently in custody at Placer County Jail. Delaney is being held on a $60,000 bail. Hodge is ineligible for bail, and Johnson is being held on an $80,000 bail. ~Staff report
