Placer Union High School District thanks voters for Measure DBy: Kristin Conner
Thank you to our Placer and Del Oro High School attendance area voters for your overwhelming support of our students and schools with the passage of Measures G and D, the school facilities bonds. Our school district educators are humbled by your votes of confidence and dedication to the future of our communities - our children.
Asking community members for their financial investment is never easy. We want to recognize the many businesses, community members, service clubs, elected officials and school staff members for their partnership, volunteerism, efforts and time. We engaged hundreds of community members in these comprehensive facility master plans and campaigns. Ultimately, our shared commitment resulted in a well-researched, actionable long-range plan for both schools — and positive election results.
Thanks to you, our students will now have access to safe and modern learning spaces that will help facilitate their collaboration, critical expression and the discovery needed to prepare them for today’s workplaces. Renovated and new classrooms, as well as improvements to the existing infrastructure in our Career Technical Education (CTE) areas will be instrumental to their future learning and career successes.
We welcome the community to be a part of the next phases of designing and rehabilitating our buildings and facilities. As we move ahead with the bond projects over the coming months and years, there will be many opportunities for our community members to attend and join in the work.
For now, please accept our sincere gratitude for your support of our high schools, educators and our students.
On behalf of the entire Placer Union High School Board of Trustees, thank you.
