Placer CEO gets a $10K raise
Hired last January, Placer County’s top executive is getting a raise.
Without comment at the tail end of Tuesday’s meeting, the Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to boost CEO Todd Leopold’s hourly pay rate from $119.47 an hour to $124,42.
Over a year, that translates into an increase in pay — not including benefits — from $248,500 to $258,800.
The board’s vote in public session on the 5 percent raise marked the final stage of Leopold’s annual performance evaluation, which is done in closed session.
Approval of the raise must occur at a regular meeting of the board, Interim County Counsel Karin Schwab said in a report.
In other board business:
Supervisors approved a construction management contract for $916,000 with HDR Construction Control for replacement of a Bowman Road bridge in Bowman over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. Also approved was a $45 million project to replace the aging and often-flooded-over Walerga Road bridge west of Roseville.
Earl Wilson, Michael Otten and Melinda Herzog-Landrith were re-appointed to the Auburn Cemetery District board. Their terms are four years. The board meets at the district’s headquarters on Collins Drive in Auburn on the second Tuesday of the month.
Samuel Cannon was appointed to the Placer County Planning Commission. He represents new Supervisor Bonnie Gore’s District 1 in the Roseville area.
